no more master of the domain

last night was the official ending of my housesitting run as i left the house. it was a good week that i enjoyed thoroughly.

as the world cup was happening, i was able to watch on their hdtv and surround sound. that made a difference in the experience. i was able to watch the dog, maggie, that gave me the urge to get a dog. i fed the birds, the fish, and the guinea pig. i watered the plants. it was an uber-chill week as i didn't have to do much at all. most nights met me with a sunset sillhouetting the front range and horsetooth while relaxing in the hot tub, and the days were filled with reading at the pool, walking on the trails through the neighborhood, entertaining friends, and , of course, working.

thursday night, steve came over and we had tempeh burgers, asparagus, goat cheese and basil spread (which i roughly made up, roughly copied) on crostini's, and a rough draft of raspberry garden fruit smoothies. it was a great time of cooking, conversation, hot tubbing, and relaxing.
